Music
and Musicals
GMCS
is proud of its music programs, and rightly so. Each
annual spring musical involves over seventy middle
school and high school students both on stage and
behind the scenes. Recent shows have included Meet Me in
St. Louis, Once Upon A Mattress, Anything Goes! and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The
MCC Marching Band and Symphonic Band consistently
earn high ratings at competitions and festivals. Jazz
band and choir offer even more opportunities for musical
growth.

arts talents are recognized each year with the productions
of "Floodlight Fever" in the fall by high
school students and "Flashlight Fever" in
the spring by middle school students. St. Francis holds Candlelight Fever in February. MCC students
are recognized annually for their talents in academics,
sports, writing, visual arts, and performing arts
during the Muskegon area presentation of "Showcase"
every March.
