We would like to remind everyone we will have our middle of year iMSSA assessment for 3rd to 6th grade students. We will test Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (December 9th, 10th, and 11th). We will test in the morning and afternoon.

Christmas themed flyer that says IMSSA Middle of Year Testing Schedule. Tuesday 12/09- reading 1 and 2. Wednesday 12/10- math 1 and 2. Thursday 12/11- Language Usage 1 and 2. This assessment will be for grades 3 to 6. We will be testing all day so please do not check your student out. Once they have started their assessment they cannot stop until they have finished. We are also asking that students be here on time and rested. Morning sessions will start at 8:00am and afternoon sessions will start at 12:45. If you have questions please call us at 505-721-5100.

GMCS will be closed from November 24–28 for Thanksgiving Break. 🦃🍂

We are excited to share, tomorrow night 11/19/25 will be our Family Academic Night from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

We will have pizza to eat and we will be showcasing our students artwork. Please come by and see what your student is learning in the classroom and all their amazing art work.

TLE Families and Community, we are excited to announce that we will be having our culture week starting on Monday, Nov. 10 until Nov. 14. In the flyer, we have all the days and information for the culture week.

We are also looking for our new Princess and Brave for TLE 25-26. We will be crowning a new Little Princess and Little Brave (grades K-2) and our Princess and Brave (grades 3-6)
Our pageant will take place on Friday, 11/14/25 from 12:45pm to 2:30pm.

Flyer with Native American boarder. TLE Heritage Cultural Week. This will be November 10th to the 14th. Monday is traditional hair bun and headband day and Saani Scarf. Tuesday is no school for veterans day. Wednesday is our school fashion show all students will dress in their cultural attire and it is Heritage jewelry day. Thursday will be western day- wear your western attire. Friday- Search for Princess and Brave ceremony starting at 12:45pm-2:30pm. Staff and students will wear their traditional outfits.

Our amazing food service partner, SFE, is helping us celebrate the season by providing Thanksgiving meals at all area schools! 🥰

Some of these delicious feasts have already begun, and more are on the way — running now through November 21!

We are so grateful to SFE for preparing these festive meals that bring our students, families, and community together to share good food and warm company. 💛

Twin Lakes Elementary is excited to post our Red Ribbon Week.
To give some background Red Ribbon Week is an annual drug prevention and awareness campaign in the United States and started in 1985. This is a fun way for students to pledge to be drug free.

It was great to see you all and we are happy you were able to come and see what your students are learning.

Twin Lakes sees the important role that grandparents play in our student's lives. We want to thank all our grandparent's support for their students.

Yesterday 09/18/25 we celebrated grandparents day by inviting grandparents to come and have donuts and coffee while they did an activity with their grandchild.

It has been a busy summer for GMCS/SFE food service!
We distributed 30,000 meals in the form of 5-day meal kits to many children in the community.

We prepared hot meals onsite at 5 Gallup area parks using our hot dog carts! We served burgers, BBQ, and other kid-approved meals to our community kids!

Plus, we offered hot meals at all 33 GMCS school sites for all children during July. At SFE, feeding kids is our favorite summer activity!

Teachers came to school today to get ready for this coming school year. We are two days away from the first day of school for students. As a reminder school starts August 6th at 7:30am. On the first day we will have students come to the gym to meet their teacher and walk to their classroom.
This school year is an exciting year and a new beginning for our Eagles to soar high.
