Thoreau Middle School is buzzing with energy as the 2025 Inspire Youth Conference kicks off—launching three days dedicated to empowering students through creativity, culture, and connection.
In partnership with Indigenous Leaders of North America (ILNA), the Thoreau Community Center, Elevate Navajo, and GMCS, the conference offers dynamic workshops focused on mindfulness, goal setting, and building focus. Students explore new ways to express themselves through martial arts, culinary arts, and music—including hands-on sessions where they learn to write lyrics for songs and rap.
Adding a touch of wonder, one workshop even uses a magic show to teach powerful lessons about focus and mindset.
Capping off the excitement, students have the chance to shine in a talent show and compete in a fast-paced 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
The Inspire Youth Conference is lighting a spark in Thoreau Middle students—encouraging them to dream big, stay focused, and rise together. 💥 #InspireYouth2025 #GMCSStrong #ThoreauMiddle #ElevateNavajo #ILNA #YouthEmpowerment
